My agency quickly became a market leader in my area, winning multiple awards, managing a team of staff and growing profits and KPIs year on year before I ultimately sold up at the end of 2020 to embark on a new adventure.

I learned more from building my company than I could have ever learned from an MBA.

I have almost 20 years of experience in the property industry, starting as a junior Negotiator in 2004. Redundancy in 2008 pushed me into self-employment, and I created my own estate agency from scratch in the middle of the most challenging property recession ever recorded.

This was a baptism of fire, but my agency quickly became a market leader in my area, winning multiple awards, managing a team of staff and growing profits and KPIs year on year before I ultimately sold up at the end of 2020 to embark on a new adventure. It really was a case of sink or swim, and I learned more from building that company than I could have ever learned from an MBA.

So I understand the struggles when you are trying to run an estate agency office. I never had time to write anything during the day, so I would have to write all sales copy, blog post content, and property brochures at home in the evening (usually with a glass of wine!) as it was the only time that the phone wasn’t ringing!

This is simply not practical and definitely not a long-term solution, adding more hours to your already very long day. I wished there was a way to outsource this written work to someone else so that I could be out on more valuations and negotiating more sales.

Blog content, property brochures, website copy, email sequences, sales letters, area guides, e-books - all things agents need to effectively run their business and be a market leader, but there are not enough hours in the day. You know you need these things in your agency, but you don’t have the time to sit down and produce them. What better than outsourcing this to a professional freelance writer who understands the industry and can create these things for you?

As my friends in the industry found out what I was up to since leaving my estate agency, they jumped in, sending me projects that had been languishing on their to-do lists, and so, my business somewhat created itself.

Whether you need regular content or a bespoke project, I can help. Cross it off your to-do list and get on with the job at hand.
